Hi Peter, I am not sure how much information you already have on Thomas but I details of him in the 1871, 1881, 1891 and the 1901 census records.
I have his father and mother, Samuel and Maria too in 1861 and Samuel’s father and mother George and Mary in 1851.
I also have an 1841 George that may be him too. If you do not have this data already please get in touch with me and I will pass it on. Cheers Webmaster.

Hi, I'm trying to trace any relatives from the Buglawton area.My grandfather lived there before moving to Stoke On Trent.His name was Thomas Williams and lived at Bank Place(born 1869),he had brothers,James(born 1870),Alfred (born1875)and sisters Sarah (born1863),Maria (born1861)and Charlotte (born 1872). Hey, I like the new maps with aerial photographs of Congleton that you have added.
The inclusion of all the pubs in Congleton makes planning a pub crawl easy as does the list of interesting places.
I managed to zoom in on my house too. Great feature.

West Heath Hospital |

Like other visitors to this site .I lived in Congleton, in fact I was born there, moving away when I was almost nine, in 1966. My father, a male nurse, worked at West Heath Hospital. We lived on site in a small house which was the first building on the right as you entered the hospital grounds. I wonder does anyone have photos of the grounds of West Heath Hospital which I believe was closed in 1984. I went to St. Marys Catholic School, when it was situated next door to the church, anyone from this era remeber me? I was born in Spring St, my grandmother lived in Thomas St. Thanks to the webmaster for the website, regards Kelvin.
