The Queens is a great traditional Congleton pub that is run by a landlord that clearly appreciates good real ale. I tried two of the five cask ales that were available and they were both excellent pints and well worth the trip to the other side of town for me.
The pub itself is warm and inviting, with a no smoking area and a pool table in a separate bar.
Also the pub won the Macclesfield & East Cheshire branch of CAMRA's Pub of the season award for Winter 2005
